Avi Zukerman, a
native Israeli, graduated from the Technion (the Israeli
Institute of Technology) as a practical mechanical engineer.
Shortly thereafter, he realized that art was his passion and
returned to study at the Art School of Ein Hod (the
artists' village in Israel). At the same time, he began
teaching and discovered the joy and satisfaction in working
with students.
Avi's work has
been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in Israel,
Europe and the United States. Today, he divides his time
between Ein Hod and New York City, creating his own work and
conducting the Ultimate Art Workshop which he founded in
1991.
Avi has taught
in various settings in the United States, ranging from
Hebrew schools and museums, to summer camps, JCCs and CAJE
conferences. He has also taught in Israeli high schools, and
at his own art studio in Ein Hod.
