In the spirit of the Op-Art movement, (well known pieces
by artist Yakov Agam) students will “com-blend” two different
images into one. Everyone will draw two distinct pictures
on two different drawing sheets that will be sculpturally
combined and placed in an 8” x 12” Plexiglas frame. Your
artwork can be either hung on the wall or displayed free
standing using the back easel attachment. When you move around
your art project you will be able to see either of your masterful
drawings and enjoy the optical principles of Op-Art. This
is a perfect project for family education or parent/child
activities because while a parent is working on one image,
a child can simultaneously complete the other. It is also
the ultimate project for Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israeli Independence
Day) where participants incorporate images such as the Israeli
flag, emblem, pictures of Israel and Jerusalem, and more.
